Air Traffic is the new collision warning system and the heart of the installation in the aircraft, based on the PowerFlarm technology.
AIR Traffic sends and receives Flarm data using the latest PowerFlarm technology via two antenna ports.
In addition, it processes ADS-B and Mode-S traffic information (Mode-S transponders are only recorded in vertical and horizontal distances, the direction cannot be determined).
It can be used with display devices, navigation systems (f.e. Garmin) or the integrated WiFi function wirelessly with apps, f.e. with Foreflight.
Air Traffic is installed "hidden" behind the instrument panel or in the avionics compartment and passes traffic information to third party display systems.
Many specialized display solutions are available additionally nearly all leading Moving-Map Systems are capable of displaying traffic Data.
A direct mounting of the Air Traffic on the back of the Air Traffic Display (57 or 80mm) is also possible. In this case no cable is necessary for connection. Only an additional mounting bracket is used to secure the Air Traffic on the back of the display.
Minor changes and EASA standard changes are available and allow legal installation in hundreds of aircraft types.
