Orders & Shipping

The order process at our webshops is very fast and simple. We always try to match our customers’ demands as well as possible. Our business philosophy is to offer you the highest quality products with the best service, for a good price. Did you find the same product cheaper elsewhere? Let us know and we’ll do our best to match their price!

Ordering

Orders are possible via our website, by mail, or by phone.

Website

Placing an online order is very fast and simple. You can place an order in a few simple steps. You can create an account where you can save your invoice and shipping information, shopping cart, wishlist, etc. You can choose from one of our payment methods, and after that, you will receive the order confirmation by email. After the order has been processed, you will receive the shipping reference or pickup instruction by email. A separate email with the invoice will also be sent.

With our website, it is not possible to order without an account (only available with purchases in our physical store). This is because many of our products are tied with serial numbers, batch numbers, or other references, which we need to take note of in case of warranty, repairs, or AD’s with certified equipment.

Mail or Phone

Placing an order via mail or phone is also possible. Please share with us the products, quantities, and mention your invoice and delivery address.


VAT

It is possible to purchase including (incl.) or excluding (excl.) VAT / TAX. Dependent on the customer type, wishes, and shipping destination, there are certain rules that apply.

Incl. VAT (OSS rulings)

As of July 1, 2021, all orders of private individuals within the EU must be charged at the VAT rate of the country to which the goods are shipped. For example, a customer in Germany will be shown pricing with German VAT, and a customer in Poland will be shown pricing with Polish VAT. For picking up orders at one of our locations, the Dutch VAT applies.

Excl. VAT

There are a few ways to purchase excl. VAT at Glider-Equipment:

  • Companies or clubs with an EU VAT identification number located in the EU-Union: Companies or clubs in the EU-Union with a valid EU-VAT number can order without value-added tax (VAT). Our ordering system can automatically check the validity of your VAT number.
  • Companies, clubs, or private individuals in countries outside the EU-Union: If you order from a country outside the EU and the goods are shipped/exported to that country, no VAT will be charged. The export and the corresponding customs declarations are carried out by us at no additional cost to you. Relevant import duties are at the expense of the customer.
  • VAT reclaim upon departure for citizens of countries outside the EU: When leaving the Netherlands, it may be possible to visit a VAT RECLAIM service provider and claim the VAT back there. Such service providers are based at larger airports. We always show sales tax on our invoices in accordance with the applicable regulations. Please inform yourself about any additional forms that may be required before making your purchase.

Delivery Options

It is possible to either have your product(s) shipped, or picked up yourself. We ship worldwide for most of our products. However, certain products cannot be shipped outside the EU-Union due to being labeled ‘dangerous goods’.

We try our best to ship packages via letter and standard post at least 2-3 days per week. Shipments to Service Center Terlet (for pick-up) are made at least once every 2 weeks.

Shipping:

  • Letterpost (only available for small items) - NOTE: This service is not insured for cases of loss or theft of the letter.
  • Ship via standard insured post (GLS / UPS / PostNL)
  • Ship via express insured post (DHL / UPS) - NOTE: This service is only available on request.
  • Collect and ship on customers’ own courier (please indicate in order notes)

Pickup:

  • Pick up at Breda Int Airport, Hangar 4
  • Pick up at Service Center Terlet

Delivery Times

Standard delivery times below are not guaranteed, but they do give an indication of the shipping time. All days expressed are in working days (Mon-Fri):

Letterpost:

  • BeNeLux: 1-4 days
  • EU-Union: 2-10 days
  • Outside EU-Union: 5 days to 3 weeks

Standard post:

  • BeNeLux: 1-2 days
  • EU-Union: 2-5 days
  • Outside EU-Union: 5 days to 2 weeks

Express post:

  • BeNeLux: 1 day
  • EU-Union: 1-3 days
  • Outside EU-Union: 2-5 days

Pick up at Breda Int Airport, Hangar 4: When order is ready. Between 9:00 – 21:00 (also on weekends)

Pick up at Service Center Terlet: When order is ready. Mon-Thu Between 9:00 – 16:00, Fri 9:00 – 14:00


Shipping Costs

Shipping rates are automatically generated by an up-to-date database in our website. It depends on the weight of the package and shipping destination. The package weight is determined by the actual weight or the volume weight; whichever is bigger. For some destinations and package weights, we offer FREE shipping:

  • Orders >€500,- (max 10kg) = Free shipping in BeNeLux and Germany
  • Orders >€1000,- (max 10kg) = Free shipping in EU-Union

All other orders are not subject to free shipping. Picking up orders is free of charge. In all cases, we try to arrange the shipment with the lowest possible shipping costs. Whenever you feel the shipping costs are not quite right, please contact us to see what we can do.


Lead Times

Glider-Equipment maintains a stock supply of regularly ordered products and products that may need urgent delivery. As a general rule, we try to keep 95% of our advertised products in stock. Some products, however, are not kept in stock to assure our customers that the purchased articles are the most recent versions. Additionally, some products have a specific lifetime or maintenance period, of which stock is also limited. Therefore, a lead time may be applicable. Lead times depend on the type of product, options, the speed of processing by our suppliers, the season, customs, and shipping delays. As a result, lead times are hard to predict, but we will provide a realistic estimate at all times.

A small amount of products is dropshipped to reduce the lead time.


Order Status

It is possible to view the status of your order in your account. You may find one of the following status indicators:

  • Open: The order is received by us and ready to be processed
  • Pick: The order is being picked
  • Picked: The order is picked and ready to be shipped
  • Shipped: The order is shipped

Dependent on the type of order, it could also show one of the following:

  • Backorder: We are awaiting the goods from our supplier to complete the order
  • RMA (for repairs only): Your product is undergoing repair
  • Picked up/delivered: The order has been picked up or delivered to the customer
